Cutting to your cloth is not always considered to be the best way in this day and age, simply because we live in a consumer society ruled by credit and impatient children. Have you ever stopped to ask why your children are impatient? Well it’s simply because they can get what they want when they want, just like their parents!
That’s right, your credit card nursemaids you through all your difficult decisions and this is why the credit card companies have all come up with strategies to get you to spend your money on them as much as possible. Now if you spend on your credit card you can get cashback for goodness sake! Well that’s all good and well if you’re disciplined enough to pay off your statement each month isn’t it? But who honestly wants to do that?
The only thing for it is to begin saving for things that you want buy simply putting money aside in a bank account or placing it quite literally in a jar at home on the mantel piece that you can’t open. We need to recapture our patience and ability to save.
