If you haven’t got a good credit score these days then you’re unlikely to get a credit card; well you’re unlikely to get a good credit card anyway! There are so many out there prepared to rip you off, yet they want to know everything about you, and charge you a small fortune for the pleasure of holding one of their credit cards it seems so unfair…
Some people actually need a credit card occasionally. It has come to the point in our capitalist economy that respect for people actually comes from their credit score! Credit scoring is more important to others these days than whether or not you smoke, drink or beat your children!
Credit scoring can help you get a loan these days! Personally i find it difficult to believe, and rather foolish, that you can actually have no debt at all, and no credit cards (thus no chance of debt), and you are actually less likely to be accepted for a mortgage in this country than someone with a wallet full of credit cards! How do they work that out? It’s insane, and they’ll have to rethink the whole process soon because this economy is already shaky. Credit card companies are as scared of lending people money as the banks are, so if you haven’t got a credit card by now, or if you’ve had one and lost it, you are quite unlikely to get one.
