In the last two years credit card companies have been affected by defaulting clientele. Not all consumers default and they are the ones that pay. Impairment charges are on the rise with credit cards. Barclays stated on Monday that they have seen a doubling in default. This year 915 million pounds has already been lost, which is up from the 477 million from last year.
