Carry a Credit Card Abroad

I avoided having a credit card for many many years, and it wasn’t until a friend of mine need his credit card in another country to make some pretty urgent purchases that i have since decided to change my ideologies…

After all, i reason with myself and say that just beause i have a credit card, it doesn’t mean i have to buy things with it all the time; it can be for an emergency in much the same way as an insurance policy.

What if you and your family need to be transported quickly from one place to another for your safety, but the transport  is going to charge you a lot of money to use it?  Well you will need a credit card to pay or hire a car, or whatever you need to do won’t you?  Not all travel insurance covers the various things that can happen.  You might need foreign currency in a hurry.  In this case you can take your Visa or Mastercard and put it in any machine in the world these days in order to get your money.

And there is always that impulse purchase that most people make when they’re on holiday.  What happens if you’re on your last day and you’re out of cash?  But you’ve just seen the one thing that will encapsulate your entire holiday in one souvenir.  If you are one of these good folks who pay off your credit card each month then there should be no problem in buying the souvenir and paying it off when you get home.  Remember that these credit cards are not only doom and gloom; some of them can actualy enhance your life without leaving a wreckage.
